Product Description

Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum TZM Rod

TZM (Titanium, Zirconium, Molybdenum)
Molybdenum's prime alloy is TZM. This alloy contains 99.2% min. to 99.5% max. of Mo, 0.50% Ti, and 0.08% Zr with a trace of C for carbide formations. TZM offers twice the strength of pure moly at temperatures over 1300'C. The recrystallization temperature of TZM is approximately 250'C higher than moly and it offers better weldability.


TZM Rod Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum (TZM)
TZM is a micro-alloyed Molybdenum with titanium zirconium-carbides. By means of solid-solution and carbide-strengthening TZM features improved high-temperature strength up to 1400°C and a higher recrystallization temperature, compared to pure Molybdenum.

Surface:
--Sintered TZM rod:
Sintered TZM rod without subsequent processing, the surface is gray-black showing no metallic luster.
--Forged TZM rod:
TZM bar after the forged process the surface will produce an oxide layer. The surface is black without metal-coloured.
--Grinded TZM rod:
TZM bars depending on the surface state and the quality requirements can be grinded one or more times. After the ground, the TZM rod surface shows silver or gray metallic luster.
--Polished TZM rod:
Polished TZM bar refers to polish processing on the rods' surface so that the surface roughness will be reduced to obtain bright, smooth TZM rods.
--Cleaned TZM Rod:
A cleaned TZM rod is produced by caustic processing. The surface of the cleaned TZM rod is metallic and smoother.


Application
TZM materials such as the high-voltage rectifier element, semiconductor thin film integrated circuits, cathode tube, gate, and CT scan X-ray tube targets are used in the electrical and electronic industry. Hot runner systems and color television and be used in agitator and military industries, as ferrous or non-ferrous metal die-casting mold materials and piercing plugs of seamless stainless steel and nuclear energy equipment.
